The Answers Lie Within
You have to be quiet in order to hear.
So often we may find ourselves seeking outside sources for that “magic” answer to all of our woes. Many times, this can occur because we want someone to tell us what to do, so that all of our problems can instantly be solved both personally and professionally.
Social media has fed off this hunger and it can become a ploy for whose life stories or antidotes out there will heal all of our troubles and be the answer to the challenge(s) we face.
This phenomenon can be overwhelming and confusing to say the least. It can also prevent us from truly turning within in order to ask for the best answers or insights that many times actually come from turning inward and listening.
By turning our attention constantly outward, we can lose touch with the inner knowing that is alive and well in each and every one of us. What if, in fact, we started to turn towards ourselves rather than away? Hitting the pause on our busyness in order to slow our systems down to allow access right into the heart of who we are right now, today.
There are absolutely times in our lives when we need that outside support, consistent motivation, inspiration, and accountability.
That outer reflection can, at times, support us when we need the insights from others. The engagement with outer resources at the right time can enhance our inner healing path. This is especially true in those moments when we feel as though we are drowning and unable to find the connection with our inner truth either through our bodies or in our hearts. Then support can be received with connection, care, and community.
The message today is a simple reminder of the wisdom that lies within each and every one of us. It is just important to remember to create avenues of tapping into that space of inner knowing.
Our relationship to ourselves is the most important and valuable relationship that we will ever have cultivated.
It is so important to establish a consistent connection to a loving relationship with our inner being and to develop a vital foundation of self-trust.
I offer you these questions for self-inquiry:
-
What steps can I take to bring in more space to listen?
-
How can I carve out regular moments of connection with myself?
-
What do I personally need to do in order to access that inner voice of knowing?
Perhaps take a look where you give yourself the moments in your day-to-day life to land within.
Where are the your personal landing pads for your body? For your heart? For your soul?
Where can you create those opportunities that allow you to drop deep down into your heart, feel your body, and listen to the wisdom that is bubbling inside of you right now?
The key is to remember these questions the next time you find yourself spinning inside your minds dialogue about what to do next. Perhaps it’s when you are in that moment of mindlessly scrolling through social media or stuck in a pattern that is clearly no longer serving you. Stop, close your eyes, take a deep breath and ask yourself the what it is that you are needing in that moment. Ask yourself the question that needs a resolution. Ask, open, receive, and hear the answers that emerge.
The answers are within you.
