Alison Rothman MA CYT brings to this practice as a beloved community resource. She has a passion for supporting others in growing and healing in a safe and welcoming environment. She believes so strongly in the medicine in movement and in the power of community. Bridging conscious movement in safe community provides the platform for healing in immeasurable ways.

Women’s Movement Practice

Movement is medicine. We all know that when we move our bodies, we feel better. Period.

 However, how we move our bodies does make a difference.

The body needs diversity in the movement...it needs permission to move how it intuitively needs to... it needs the space to breathe and open and reconnect and ground and unwind. 

When we lose ourselves in dance, we find a sense of wholeness and connection. When we dance we get out of our heads and into our bodies. We connect to the here and now.

Dancing in Community: A Movement Practice is prepares your body to move, shake, heal, and thrive. We connect with our beautiful bodies, shake out the gunk from our systems, create some space from within, and tap into some joy, connection, and perspective.

There is no dance experience necessary.

There are no expectations in this space.

No steps to follow.

No format to stay on or stay in.

This is a space for you to come and be with yourselves, with your beautiful bodies, with your hearts, and with the intention of following your own inner rhythm of need and connection with yourself exactly where you are in this moment.

Flow through each movement and feel your body come into it’s own. Reflect afterwards with journaling as you sort through past strife and look to a new future.

Alison has been connecting women women in safe spaces through retreats, events, circles, coaching, and other holistic wellness practices for decades and this offering is an opportunity to dip into the work. She is passionate about holding these containers for women to come, be, feel, open, grow, and heal.

When we can blend the freedom of movement with the intimacy, authenticity, and vulnerability of connection in community...healing happens

Magic happens each time we enter this sacred space. We come as we are full of courage and vulnerability. We leave a bit more transformed.

This movement practice is an opportunity to engage with Alison’s work when it fits with your schedule. Come once or monthly. Bring friends or attend solo.

Dancing in Community: A Women’s Movement Practice

Kelly's Barn, Boulder, CO

1st Thursday of the month 6-7:30pm

2025: May 1st and 15th ( at Kelly’s Barn!)

**Beginning in June we will be moving to the beautiful Una Vida Meditation and Movement Studio in Niwot! Our practice will shift to the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays from 6:15pm - 7:45pm for the duration of the year.

What to Expect

This is an opportunity to move and connect with our beautiful bodies, shake out the gunk from our systems, create some space from within, and tap into some joy, connection, and perspective.

Structure: There are NO steps or choreography for this practice. Alison Rothman will facilitate with music and movement prompts that are influenced by her 20+ years of study and practice, yet, this is for you to move as you need to. There will also be time for self-reflective journaling (please bring a journal)

Dates: Thursdays, May 1st and 15th (at Kelly’s Barn) — Beginning in June we are transitioning to the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays (at Una Vida Meditation and Movement Studio)

Location: Kelly's Barn (through May) — In June we will be dancing at Una Vida Meditation and Movement Studio in Niwot, CO.

Time: We will begin at 6:00 sharp so feel free to arrive 5-10 minutes early to orient. We wrap up at 7:30pm.

Investment: Please note we now are offering 3 options: DROP IN SINGLE DANCE ($30), MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP ~ 1 DANCE PER MONTH ($25/month), MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP ~ 2 DANCES PER MONTH ($40/month). **The monthly memberships will be auto-charged and can be cancelled at any time by emailing me at: alison@embodymylife.com.
