Savor the Season

The buzz of Spring has definitely begun!  February is always that month that many are feeling about done with Winter.

Ready for the longer days, more sunshine, and shedding of some layers!

With the lengthening days and more sunlight, naturally we start to feel like being outward more.

However, we are still officially in Winter.

We have the opportunity to create more ground for ourselves, tending and cultivating the soil of our dreams and lives, and to generate a solid foundation for what we want to birth in the Spring.

Rather than bypassing natures rhythms, perhaps we can consider savoring the end of this season, embracing the last of the cold, darker days.  Can we nurture ourselves deeply so that we may be even more integrated and aligned when Springtime arrives?

I had a client say, “I don’t want to miss this again”.  Naming that so often she has resisted this time of Winter, which so many of us do, and before you know it the days are long, the temperatures are warm, and we are collectively drawn outward.

It is so important to honor each of the seasons cycles as they are all significant and  have value.  Using this time to remember that these more internal days are needed.  We need this time to build our inner resource so that we can remain open and grounded to how our lives unfold.

When we take the time to do our groundwork, cultivate an even deeper connection to our inner worlds, dream and vision behind the scenes, and truly relish the quiet and internal time of this year, we are then able to enter into Spring intact with ourselves, clear about our direction, and open to our own personal and integrated rebirthing process.

May this newsletter be a reminder and an invitation to stay in that inward place and begin to step outward when you are ready. To truly honor this time of darkness and tend to yourselves in such a way that pays reverence to this time.

Rest, eat well, limit your output as much as possible, and build and strengthen your system.

Cultivate this deep sense of connection with your inner world so that when the Spring arrives in full force and the buzz of activities resumes…farmers markets, budding flowers, birds singing…you are ready.

You are with yourself.

Whole, present, clear, grounded, and upright in the aligned truth of exactly who you are.
