Self-Care and Resilience
“Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it".
~Helen Keller
This weeks blog/newsletter has a bit of a different twist. I had SO much to say about the subjects of self-care and resiliency that I decided to record a podcast so that I could talk freely about them.
Self-care and building our inner resilience are inextricably connected.
By tending to ourselves, in a way that is honoring our internal experience, we create an unwavering inner strength and capacity to ride the waves of life without being engulfed by them.
We are in a pivotal moment of time in the thick of the chaos and uncertainty. Focusing on our own self-care and building resilience have become non-negotiable.
These days have brought the entire array of the human experience. I feel that we are all being given an opportunity to dig deep into ourselves and feel into our capacity for resiliency.
What is resiliency? In essence, it is the ability to navigate life from a place of steadiness and equanimity. It’s an act of buoyancy and developing the capacity to recover from life’s challenges.
Would you agree that we are all being given that lesson right now?
Tune into this latest podcast episode of Embodied and Awake for a candid and real conversation about self-care during these wild days (with a personal twist and some humorous sharing!). Note: While the suggestions and actions that I offer in the podcast by all means are not a complete list of powerful self-care practices, they do offer a creative take on self-care as an advocate for building resilience.
I hope that this message finds you all faring as well as possible.
Tend to your bodies, to your hearts, check in on your people, and stay connected.
We are all in this together.
