Rejuvenate Yourself

This time of year, here in Colorado always keeps us on our toes with gorgeous warm days that feel as though the change of season is really here, to the infamous Spring snow storms that have us digging out our cars and covering precious buds that are coming up from the Earth.

After over 20 years in this state, you would *think* that I would have surrendered to this flow, yet I often find myself in resistance….beyond ready for the warmth to stay and the snow to go!

However, it is such a lesson in life of embracing what is, yielding to the flow of life, and opening to exactly what is unfolding in every given moment.

This weeks blog comes a week later than “normal” for me. For the past many years, I have been committed to offering you all some nuggets of inspiration every other week.

Yet, last week it became crystal clear that I was not to be sending anything out and, rather, needed to pull my energy in and surrender to the flow of my own life.

I was reading some content that I had offered several months ago in an interview. This statement jumped out at me and is the impetus and inspiration behind this offering today.

I said: “I support women in creating boundless regeneration in their lives”. I read this in a moment of feeling as though I was literally holding on by a string and running on fumes. What?!? Not okay. And, grateful for that moment of recognition of my humanness.

I had to acknowledge my need for rejuvenation after these 2+ years since our world turned upside down (as I had talked about in my last newsletter to you all!)….my body and soul were not allowing me to go any further.

I am committed to ushering humanity through this portal to the best of my ability, utilizing the skills that I have gleaned in my decades of personal and professional exploration, and, also, I am well aware that I need to walk my talk in every sense of the phrase.

So, today’s message is simple, clear, and hopefully an opportunity for you all to take a moment and drop into yourselves.

Slow down your movements and words and actions.
Check in with your beautiful selves and ask what you are needing.
Take good care.
Honor your own flow and rhythms.
Rejuvenate yourselves to the best of your ability.

Of course, I completely understand the juggle of motherhood, parenthood, working, running a household, staying afloat in relationships, etc…..Yet, what I want to offer here is the essentialness of bringing this quality of being and connection into our day-to-day.

ESPECIALLY, in midst of such outer turmoil in the world.

How can we connect on an even deeper level to our innate knowing of what we need on the most basic of levels? To come into a powerful and intimate relationship with our truest selves, from that well of knowing that lies deep within….

When we discount our needs for care, we can find ourselves depressed, anxious, addicted, imbalanced (as women, this impacts our hormones tremendously).

This call to action (or inaction if that is what is needed for you!), can be subtle, yet potent tweaks in our day-to-day moments of life. Letting the dishes go for a night and rather taking a long, candlelight bath. Shutting down email an hour earlier at night and putting your legs up the wall or lying over a bolster...just breathing into yourself and allowing the melt to happen.

Allow yourselves to BE exactly where you are and how you are in this exact moment. Give your amazing selves a permission slip to tend to your bodies, your hearts, your spirits, and your souls from a place of radical self-care. A deep gesture of love for simply being YOU.

Cultivate the courage to breathe into your bellies and invite in stillness and rest and rejuvenation. The busyness of the world can wait.

Sending authentic love and care and compassion to you all!

Take good care of yourselves and be kind to each other.

Reach out anytime.

I am here.
