Taking a Moment

I have been sitting with what to offer you all this week…recognizing the magnitude of what is unfolding on so many levels, impacting so many people’s lives… and the fear and overwhelm that is running through the collective nervous system.

There were so many pieces that I felt as though I could touch in on in this newsletter that could be supportive, but what I came to the simple gesture and offering the opportunity to take a moment… a moment of pause.

A moment to take a deep breath and really allow your exhale to wash over you.  A moment of peace and connection with oneself.

A moment to hold all of those around the world who are struggling, in pain, conflict, and grieving close to our hearts. A moment to get our systems calmed and grounded so as to continue to show up for our lives with love, compassion, empathy, openness, and integrity.

To give oneself, in this moment, while reading my words, a moment of presence. A moment of acclimation. A moment of releasing the hold that these tumultuous times have on our collective hearts and allowing ourselves to simply BE.

That’s it…a moment to BE. A moment of connection. A moment of softening and releasing.

A moment of recognition of how much pain is swirling globally and a moment to come back to ourselves.

So, please, if you are still with me and willing to….

Put one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly and take deep, anchoring breaths.
Invite your breath to move all the way down through the souls of your feet, up your legs, and into your bellies. Allow your breath to expand your rib cage and heart space.

Fill your throat with life-giving breath as you soften your jaw. Relax your face and head. Let whatever needs to surface do so….tears, exhaustion, relief, anticipation, gratitude, care…

Let it come up and out. Let it all be what it needs to be. BE in this moment…with all of you on board. Connected, humble, anxious, scared, full of love and appreciation….whatever it needs to be, stay with yourself.

Savor this moment. Be there.

I hope that this email finds you all navigating these times and your unique life experience with as much presence and connection that you can possibly access.

Take good care of yourselves and be kind to each other.

As always, I am out here if you need any support and/or connection.
Reach out anytime!
